
Vestas - Ocean Race
For danish wind turbine makers Vestas sponsorship of their Volvo Ocean Race team (now known as The Ocean Race), I developed a visual style guide and digital communications platform.
This was coupled with design concepts for their countdown – and later lunch website. The system was planned to fuse with their offline material and events at race stops, and also had to show how to merge the second sponsor, 11th Hour Racing, with the Vestas branding, both being the primary sponsors of the boat and team. Elements were also made to function on social media,

Short video showing how some of the offline material was used. Among the assets created were short video bumpers and breakers for video and SoMe use.
Website and digital assets
Inspired by the materials and textures that permeate the environment of an ocean race team, I used these elements to contrast and off-set the modern, clean estetics. The concept also described a large editorial section, giving a more in depth look into the team and behind scenes before, during and after the races. The eventual version of the site, unfortunately, ended up being somewhat less feature and content rich.
